Can Launchbox/ Bigbox handle removable media?

Currently using Launchbox with plans to buy Bigbox very soon.  Currently I'm using a laptop and I would want to keep all Arcade games and Emulators on the Laptop internal drive.

I would like to add Console roms to a removable 2.5" external usb 3 hard disk with the idea being when I want to play a console game just plug in the harddrive and boot up Bigbox

If I do this, how well can Bigbox handle rom paths that are not available if I only want to play Arcade games?  Any issues with this type of setup?

I suspect it won't be an issue but thought I would ask in advance to see if anyone is doing similar.  Thanks in advance.

As long as you make sure the external drive connects as the same drive letter each time LB will not have an issue.
