Nortion12
Hi, I've searched through the forums and haven't really found a clear answer on the requirements for Big Box. Building a NUC emulator SNES and Down. Basically Im not asking about emulator smoothness or anything, but just assuming you have about 2k games on BigBox, all with images and videos running on the default theme. Is there a min recommendations for this? Right now running fine with 4GB of DDR3 and wondering if i will see any uplift in snappyness from using 8GB. Wasn't sure if the frontend will use more than 3 or so GB of ram to run, or if I put in 8gb if it will utilize that extra ram at all. Thanks so much in advance, love the frontend. Lordmonkus
More ram will certainly help when you import more games. Launchbox does use up a fair bit of ram because it does load all the game images and data into ram for smoother performance. 8 gigs of ram is definitely considered the minimum this day and age and 16 is recommended.
