Bigbox slugish

I recently purchased bigbox so that my young kids can easily play some retro games. My problem is that whatever theme I choose the performace is slugish.

I am using it on:

Motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming Plus Max
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x
RAM: Corsair Vengence16GB (2 × 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16
GPU: SAPPHIRE Nitro + Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5

 

Any ideas how to improve performance ? Thank you in advance.
