Gameboy and Gameboy Colour

Hey all,

I'm starting to build my library inside Launchbox and currently importing my roms.

One question that I have is how to manage my Gameboy roms as they appear to be combined in one directory as GBx roms instead of either GB or GBC. Do I run two import jobs for the two systems from the same folder, or does running just the one pick up that there's two different systems inside one folder.

The rom's are compressed in 7z files fwiw

I have a separate folder for Gameboy Advanced games though so those aren't an issue.

Launchbox will have no idea there are two seperate platforms in a folder, it will just ask you for one platform in the wizard, i cant say i have ever seen GameBoy roms come that way either, thats bad organisation. You have two options, keep them all together and name the platform appropriately, or seperate the games out manually into two different folders.

OK thanks for clarifying.

They're from Cowering's GoodGBx rom sets which were quite popular. I guess that I can split them up so no big deal I guess.

Interesting, i cant say i have ever heard of that romset. The most popular and what we also recommend around here is the No-Intro romsets. They are clean dumps with no bad dumps, or hacks and the like, and our database is based on there naming scheme.
