tweeder
So I have a few games downloaded but when i click on one to play it, the screen momentarily goes black and it says initializing then it goes back to launchbox.
thraxlol
Hi @tweeder, do you have some more info about your setup? You're in the Launchbox support forum and Launchbox only launches other games systems (Steam, Emulators, etc) - what system are you trying to launch and play? tweeder
I'm new to this so bear with me. I'm using launchbox, and mame is what I set it to use. In another video they had an emulator folder with i think retroarch?I didn't see that in my folder. Not sure what system I am trying to launch. Only a few games came thru, I'm waiting on a large download to install and will hopefully have more games. Some games I was trying was digging, airwolf, donkeykong. Retro808
First thing to do is determine did you set up the emulator you are using and test the games directly inside the emulator first? Forget about LB for now. Do your games work directly in the emulator you are using to run the games? If the answer is no, or you never setup the emulator and tested the games that is your biggest issue.
tweeder
I have not tested any games anywhere. So it sounds like I need to add an emulator folder in my lunchbox or in lunchbox and in the mame folder? What emulator do yall suggest? My rooms are nes, snes, mame so far. Set it up first and test your games then add them to LB. To keep it simple Retroarch is great for your console systems and Mame is great for arcade. You can of course use Retorarch’s mame cores for arcade but using good old standalone Mame is always a better choice.
tweeder
Great, thanks everybody. I'll head over to the emulators section.
