OpenBOR Keyboard mapping issue

Hello,

I am hoping someone may be able to help with this. I am new to OpenBOR and most games work mapping the controls to my recroommasters arcade cab 4 player controller. However there are a few that the first player 2 button on the recroommasters controller which is mapped to A on the keyboard will make both player 2 and player 1 do that function at the same time. Also the player 2 (left) joystick action which is mapped to the D button on the keyboard will make player 1 do something as well. I believe A and D are by default mapped for player one actions but even after remapping player 1 and player 2 in the OpenBOR game this is still happening for select games. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

My solution was to set all the newer openbor builds up like this (build 6330 and up) I also set up the older builds the same way but you don't have to it do any remap they seem to work fine,  just keeps you from setting configs for every game one at a time.

Then when you launch your first game do not remap any of the player 1 controls except for start and screenshot. Compare the mapping of your keyboard encoder and remap using running script of your emulator

This is the default except for start and screenshot, I use my start and coin buttons from MAME

Esc::ExitApp  ; Exit script with Escape key

Then I just swapped any of the controls I needed to keep player 1 set to default. I don't know if you really need the "Esc::ExitApp  ; Exit script with Escape key", but its working for me through launchbox, I use escape to exit games and my buttons are always returned to what they were.

if you want to keep each games inside its own package like this

you can run additional apps per game just compile your ahk to an exe

Openbor.... I gave it a shot, but the horribly buggy controls just ruined the experience.  In the end, it seems like you have to use something like joy2key and map your controls to what the defaults are for the game.  If you try changing the controls in the settings to what you want, things start to break.   Since second player already defaults to joystick, I'm not sure how successful setting up a second player will be.

That's version 3...  I'm not sure if version 4 alpha is worth investigating or not.
