Worth swapping MAME emu? possible?

I just finished importing mame games, now I was thinking if would be worth and possible to change lists created when importing emus, for example, changing to finalburn for CPS and neogeo games, or better to remain with MAME?

There is no reason to not use Mame other than you have a crap CPU that cannot run Mame but can run FBA/FBN.
