  1. Well, as a new owner of a steamdeck I would love to see launchbox there too. Steamdeck is getting a bigger emulation/retrogaming community every day. You have emudeck, recently ported to windows, to make everything very straightforward. And it goes with emulationstation and pegasus-fe. I hope you get on the train someday, I would gladly pay for my third license to use it on the steamdeck natively.
  2. They should be the same size of a nes jp box (unless I miss sized the first one 😅🙈) I like that every system has its kind of box, what bugs me is having different sized inside the same system 🥲 Don't get me wrong, I did them for myself, and for myself, I'm not doing it again for SNES. 😅 I expected mot JP SNES games to be vertical (although just 2 of mines have that orientation), but they are not. That makes it way more complicated… I still have to decide whether I'll keep going or not because it's a lot of work, and TODAY I'm not feeling it worth. Thanks for the kind words.
  3. I won't lie, I'm disappointed at how little interest this has aroused. I suppose it doesn't look as good as I though 😅 Guess I will pick whatever game for the 100th just to end the set, and forget about doing any more… 🥲
  4. Hi, I love frontends, and specially Launchbox 🙃, but one of the things that bugs me is box selection, specially when each zone has a different layout… so I decided to start my custom box project with very little rules: Normally, I prefer original JP art, but it's not carved in stone. Give as much space as possible for cover art. I can't read Japanese, even if my life depends on it. So I want Latin characters; therefore, Western game logo (if it exists) EU/US/JP Mixed System Logo Developer These rules are not set in stone and I decided to ignore them whenever I felt like it. Faxanadu is an example, as I dislike it's JP art, so I made a mix. Or Power blade 2, where I used fanart, as editing the original case art was too much work. So I started with NES. These games may not be the best, but this set is a mix of the ones that I own, the ones that I like and the ones that are prequels for some other games in other sets. I curated a 100 games selection, but seems I'm missing one… Therefore, it's up to you to decide what will be the 100th game completing the set. you can get them individually also on deviantart, where I will be posting future sets also till they are completed like this one. 5. Please, don't take it as criticism, as it was in fact the contrary, I really like the new skin in this release. Basically, is not a slowdown, but launchbox takes quite a while to load every time, I run it on an M.2. Also, when changing from one game to another in a crowded system. I've just formatted the computer, but will do a video comparing if you want.
  6. Just logged to say I'm pretty impressed with the default looks on latest version, congratulations It's been a while I've started to explore other frontends as pegasus, as although launchbox makes everything quite easy, it's a bit slow (for me), these new looks may make me stay, let's see when I add all games So, in sum, pretty impressed, congratulations!
  7. Redmi k40 gaming & Xiaomi note 12 pro
  8. Yep, but it doesn't always follow. At least in MIUI 13, launchbox sometimes appears in portrait mode, and doesn't change to landscape.
  9. Really? What a shame 😑 Would be great to have a real smart N-gage 🤭
  10. My phone keeps getting default to portrait mode and there's no way to change... Would be great for launchbox to be able to enforce landscape mode.
  11. Haven't tried yet, ad to restart collection, and I'm first creating my own NES boxes 😅
  12. Yes, but I was thinking in launchbox, do I create a bat file for each game?
  13. Was checking some launchbox tutorials to configure daphne, and found they are really "old" (and a 2017 promise to make it easier ;)) but found a powerful new contender hypseus-singe. Is there any tutorial about how to configure it? I'm seeing great things been done with upscaled games that would love to share with my kids but never managed to get daphne working! Maybe hypseus will be more foolproof?
  14. Well, it's a M.2... I've got all system files and launchbox in a M.2, I suppose the images, and all lightbox (except roms) should be fast... I've got the roms in NAS SATA disks, but this should be an issue the moment the file is loaded only, no?
  15. Both, yesterday I did use the bigbox option to force populate images, I just did same for wheels, will let you know... I was thinking on passing all images to jpegmini, to see if it improves... but I suppose it's already done... What astonishes me is I've seen collections this big and even more moving well on youtube... so it's something I'm not doing correctly...
  16. Hi, I finally took some time during holidays to work on this, and I must be doing something wrong and dunno what it is yet ☹️ I picked launchbox because I wanted to do a home server that I could stream directly to my devices for retrogaming (mostly), so I've got an Intel Xeon i7-5775C 3.30GHz with 16Gb RAM and an old Geforce GTX 970 I've managed to play Assassin's creed Origins and Odyssey perfectly over streamed LAN with it, but I cannot seem to manage to move my complete collection in Lauchbox... Furthermore, I can use launchbox without issues, it's a bit slow, but I can work with that, but when Bigbox opens, it is not responsive to keys, and when it does, it's extremely slow. CPU load for bigbox is 3.5%, and total load of the server is around 17% at most, RAM is loaded in 34%, of those, less than 700Mb are bigbox So, I don't know what the problem may be... but bigbox is not working correctly... Total game collection is around 30k games, I limited media to 2 images for each title. Any idea on how to optimize it? I still haven't added MAME games 😅 Happy new year, everyone!
  17. Hi, I just finished importing mame games, now I was thinking if would be worth and possible to change lists created when importing emus, for example, changing to finalburn for CPS and neogeo games, or better to remain with MAME?
  18. It worked well in Nestopia, did nothing in Mesen, but magically it fixed itself (or was so stupid, that I didn't broke again)... changed back the core to mesen and then everything worked... Thx anyway ^^'
  19. Hi, I'm finally building a retrostation, and seems things have evolved lots, and I'm finding new formats for my games... So, for example, I discovered is better to store my Dreamcast games as chd insted of the original GDI And I'm finding info on PSX games as well, istead of cue/bin, I can convert it to pbp, but I'm not sure if there's any drawback to this... Seems is far better for multiple disks games? Any info on this and easy way to do so? Thanks!
  20. Yes, but I'm not sure if it's the correct name, I picked mesen_libretro from the dropdown
  21. Hi, I'm triing to configure mesen through reetroarch in launchbox, but I'm not doing something correctly... I'ts working well standalone, but I can't get launchbox to launch games using it... (no issue with nestopia)
  22. I would usggest using *REMOVED* sets, they are always complete and updated the next day (or even same) MAME comes out
  23. But should not be any problem importing first with lights peed and then any other no? Or files become botched?
