Flycast trying to launch wrong ROM in LB, not in RA

Hello,

I've been looking through this forum and across the internet for a day and change now, and I've really wanted to avoid posting this before at least trying to find some way to make this work myself.

I'm currently setting up some Dreamcast games, using RetroArch Flycast core. In RA, it works a treat, no bother at all. In LB, I get this screen:

naomi-error-01.thumb.png.70764e800bbd9ac79bc58bdd2b384f4f.png

And this pops up in the bottom left:

894511000_mamewarning.thumb.png.a3408778582237efa95cd063681a0c35.png

So, I right clicked the game, in this case, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (absolute banger of a game), and selected this file to launch it specifically:

sf3-1.thumb.png.647e9dc9cf84fbf6a70c6a547d4c77a9.png

Which is this .gdi file here:

sf3-2.png.b8578f6b08a08550cb5c1dc145b3892a.png

It launches, no bother at all. However if I am just double clicking the title, I can tell it's using one of the .bin files, because I get the MAME/Naomi Error 01 business above.

So it does work in LB, but only if I manually select this. Is there a way I can have LB look for say, the .gdi file only? Or set it so that it will only launch through a specificed version? Or perhaps there's something in RA I can do with the core settings to specify per title? I'm a bit miffed by this, would appreciate any help at all. And any questions I can answer to help this along, just ask.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok, you have a couple of issues here, the main one and the cause of these troubles in the first place is you imported files to Launchbox that you shouldnt of. As you have noted the file that is loaded to the emulator is the .gdi file, but you imported everything, you only need to import the .gdi file. So i would just delete the game and drag and drop the .gdi file only to Launchbox to import it.

As for it picking the wrong file by default, that wont be a issue if you import the correct files, but you can right click the game, go to edit, go to additional app, this will list the files you imported, click on the gdi one and click the make default button to have that the file launched.

Thank you so much! This seems so obvious now that I read it but I guess my brain was just not putting that together at the time.

Appreciate it Neil, games seem to be running now without issue. Thanks again, really grateful for that!
