d3vilsadvocate
I noticed that all of my box shots are kind of blurry compared to the original resolution of the image. This happens regardless of the box size I may chose via CTRL + It's especially noticeable if I compare it to steam, where the exact same images are rendered more sharply. In the case of Ori and the Wisp of the Will I can hardly read the text (LB on the left, Steam on the right): While it's not the same image of course, the resolution and original sharpness of both images is almost exactly the same. Is there some compression going on? Can this be deactivated or improved somehow? Thanks i.a!
C-Beats
I would grab the Steam poster either through the tools inside of LaunchBox or from SteamGridDB. The image on the left is looks the the one that is from the GamesDB which is a pretty terrible image that probably shouldn't have been accepted. Steam Posters are 600x900, that image is 199x281 so not only is the aspect ratio completely wrong but because of the size (and the fact that I assume it was already scaled badly down) the image IS quite a bit more blurry than the source image. It appears to me that this is just bad source image.
d3vilsadvocate
Hmm no not at all, the image above is just a screenshot of the render in LB compared to steam's. This is the original image used in Launchbox, the one that appears blurry and low res in Launchbox: If I download the Steam "Poster" through LB, then the same thing happens: a fairly high res file is rendered at a low quality in LB.
