Not importing entire directory, but only if stored on SMB share

Good afternoon,

I'm enjoying this transition to LaunchBox from hyperspin, its been fun. However I am having an odd issue I've been unable to google or search.

I can import any of my game library's without issue, but only if I copy them from my local SMB share to my physical HDD. I have no issues running the games from the emulator, but If I use the Launchbox import utility it will only import say... 5-6 games. I'm not even sure how to start troubleshooting this issue. I know one screenshot I imported from a folder, and one i imported files... but I've tried both ways with same results. Has anyone ever faced this before? No wireless btw, and my network is plennty fast, I've never had an issue like this before.

Any imput would be very helpfull, and I can't sleep so I'll probably be up the next 4-5 hours if anyone wants me to add more info, or try things. Been at this all day.

Thanks so much!

I guess I should add I did not notice this with my MAME import, but its probably missing things. But I noticed this with my PSX, NES, SNES and Genesis library's.  My PS2 Seeeems to be complete. But its only 30 or so games.

SMB shares can definitely be hit or miss. Sounds like it could be that LaunchBox is having a tough time reading from that directory, which could be for a number of reasons (file system, permissions, security, drivers...etc).

I don't have too much experience with this, but maybe other people in the community have done this already and may have some better feedback for ya.

Thanks!

Yeah, I know SMB can be fickle. I've never ran into anything quite like this before.

For testing I did alow all guests full control of the share so it should not have too much to complain about. I'm just hoping I can find a solution other then rebuild all my network shares.

OMG I wonder if I have everything setup for SMB1.... * Ok no I'm not.

I just put in some spare HHD's and setup a NFS share. I'll transfer some romsets and test to see if I have a different result. Wife and I mostly develop in windows environments so I've always kinda stuck with SMB
