If we let launch box on the pc do all the hard work and scrape the images and videos are we able to copy the exact file structure onto the shield?

You should use Tools > Export to Android. That's a much better way to get the media and such on your device.

Ok thanks I'll give that a try.

Will it also export the roms as i would like to avoid that and use the network share?

It will, but you'll have an opportunity to delete them before you transfer them over.

I saw an update for Launchbox last night, and noticed i could now browse to a share folder!  i havent tried it yet, will hopefully get to it today, but this is great news, can't wait to see if I can get this working! Thanks so much for adding this feature.

how are you selecting the mounted storage on shield tv?  i have installed v0.42 from the email i got and it is only showing the internal storage when i select import.  thanks!

What version of Android are you running on the Shield? From what I'm reading, it seems that Nvidia's latest versions of Android for the Shield are rather broken when it comes to network storage.

Hi, I'm not on a shield but also downloaded version 0.42 yesterday like slikone27 mentioned, only internal storage can be selected while importing.
A95FX4 TV Box, Android 10

I was sent the hotfix last night after Jason mentioned the new updates in another thread, so I installed it, and am now currently running Shield version 9.0.2(33.1.0.319) and I also am currently still unable to access my NAS. I can't find a way to access any other folder other than the default one that Launchbox directs me to (/storage/emulated/0).

Have you made any progress past this yet Shadow?

Well, it is fixed now. 

Finally Nvidia addressed the sharing problems...
