Big box aspect ration

Hi what is big boxs aspect ration and unified wide screen theme ? And can I change it? If I have my PC on a thing higher than 4000. Big box is shown with croped sides black borders on sides. If that makes sense?  It's either i have my desktop croped on the sides and big big all good or vise versa. Can I have both? Please help thanks in advance.

16:9 as default. If you have a Ultrawide display you will have to put up with the black borders, as you will with a lot of games/programs.
