Duckstation Windows - not using Retroarch - launch issue

So I am having some odd issues with retroarch.   putting that aside I grabbed Duckstation directly and it runs all my PS1 games just fine (better with the additional options).    So in Launchbox I went to the retroarch emulator and removed playstation form it.    Since I dont even want that as an option.    i went ahead and setup the Duckstation emulator.    here is the problem...   If i right click and go to PLAY on a PS1 game it tries to launch and goes back to the main screen.   Debug logs say the rom launched but really nothing else.  Doesnt even show that it tried to launch the emulator.   I can confirm that Duckstation truly does not launch either.     So in Launchbox if I go to right click on the game go to Launch With > duckstation (note I have no other options)   It launches 100% fine.     So its like the default option is not being respected.    Please note havent tested in big picture I am still configuring emulators at this point.

Have you set up your games to use Duckstation? You can select all your games (ctrl + a) and right click a game > Open Bulk Edit Wizard > Next > Field: Emulator > Value: Duckstation.

Since you originally had the games set to launch with Retroarch did you change them all to now launch with Duckstation?

You have to select all the games and bulk edit them changing the emulator to Duckstation. Just changing things in the Manage Emulators does not actually change what the games were originally linked to RA. 
 

You can confirm by editing a game and checking the Emulation page to see what emulator is listed there..

Thank you both.   This is noob issue on my part.    I "assumed" that the default setting would auto apply to games unless I had manually edited that specific game.   Ok this makes more sense and the bulk edit worked.  I appreciate he quick reply thanks again.
