Schills206 Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I recently installed the PCSX2 core to retroarch and have tested several PS2 games outside of Launchbox. Everything runs smooth as butter. However, after importing the games into Launchbox, they are completely unplayable with excessively low framerate. I'm using the same emulator and core but for some reason, they just wont work when I launch from Launchbox. All of the games are in CHD format. I'm using an i5 cpu and a Ryzen R9 380 video card with 16gb ram. Any ideas? Quote
ModerateNOOB Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 (edited) Sorry!, Can't help you with Retroarch. But have you tried importing them with the PCSX2 standalone emulator?, My ps2 games runs perfectly fine with that. Haven't even noticed that the PCSX2 core had been added to Retroarch :), Maybe it's because it's fairly new and needs to be worked on. Edited February 1, 2022 by ModerateNOOB Quote
Schills206 Posted February 1, 2022 Author Posted February 1, 2022 Yeah, I've run them in both pcsx2 standalone and the pcsx2 core in RetroArch outside of Launchbox and the games run fine. Its only after I import the games into Launchbox and launching them from the game menu that they run at about 1fps. Quote
ModerateNOOB Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 What i was trying to suggest was to import the standalone PCSX2 emulator into Launchbox and run them from the emulator itself. Quote
Schills206 Posted February 2, 2022 Author Posted February 2, 2022 Yeah, I've tried that as well. Games run fine in PCSX2 and RetroArch standalone outside of Launchbox but 1fps while launching from within Launchbox in both emulators. Quote
Airpyr8t Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I was having issues with retroarch in and out of LB . looked at some other forums and someone notice that their monitors refresh rate (right click desktop / display / advanced options) was at 24hrz. checked mine and was having the same issue. Even worse It would not let me select a high option. Check my tv setting and Hdr was on auto. Swithed that to compatabilty and now I have the option of 60hrz on my desktop. now everything runs better. hope this helps Quote
