Light gun Playlist

I have the built in light gun playlist for Launchbox, but am looking for something like I have for my shmups.   I have a playlist that I downloaded that is shmups (all in one)  which has arcade and other systems in the playlist.  Is there a light gun one that includes arcades and other systems (nes, snes, computer systems, etc)?

So after having a similar problem I figured out you need to use the names exactly as you see in Tools>Manage>Game Controllers. So with your example the value for me was "Generic Light Gun" rather than "Light Gun".

Now my next question that I presume to be impossible to answer is why certain games got categorized with certain controllers. For the life of me I can't understand why a golf game gets categorized as using a light gun.

I noticed that too after trying to figure out how to get them in the list.  I don't know why are some type and others are other types either, doesn't make any sense.   I added a bunch of those and now have to go through and delete a few that shouldn't be there because I have wii games on there and light gun wii games, but they are all "wii remote" so I had to add that to get any of them.  No big deal, just something else to delete.

If referring to MAME games we get that information directly from MAME.

I am referring to MAME and I figured it's a MAME issue. Sometimes it's a little funny to me how certain things get categorized. I presume it's simply the scale of the project, where lots of people work on it so weird things are bound to happen for time to time.

While we're on the subject, where are the controller type data stored for MAME? I can't find it.
