Mame hiscore uploading - DIP switches

Do any dip switch changes prevent an upload? I ask,  as I’ve set a number of vertical games to Cocktail Mode (as I have a Cocktail machine).

From what i remember any changes that are made are excluded from uploading, as there is no way to differentiate what each dip switch does for each game.

Dip switches can be used to cheat, so if you enable them, we disable hi scores.

I understand, but it’s a shame the different settings can’t be distinguished as specifying Cocktail mode is hardly cheating.
