High framerate in Launchbox (not Bigbox)

Hi everyone.

I'm quite new to Launchbox and have, these past couple of months, been enjoying getting to know it by creating a nice collection of games across multiple platforms/emulators.

I liked it enough to pay for it and am currently enjoying being able to play any game, new or old, at the click of a button. 🎮

I do occasionally use BigBox but I tend to use Launchbox 90% of the time.   That brings me onto my question - is there a way to turn on smooth scrolling or can it be added to the development plan?

I have searched the forum for "smooth scrolling" and there's a discussion about how to turn on instant scrolling and a reference to an app called "SmoothScroll" but that didn't help me.

I'm wondering if Launchbox could scroll through the games as smoothly as Chrome, Edge etc. scroll through a web page.  I've attached a short video showing what I mean.  The scrolling in Launchbox 'jumps' by around 100px each scroll of the scroll wheel whereas Edge will scroll the same distance but not instantly jump (it slides for want of a better way of describing it).  I hope the attached video explains what I mean better than I can.

Just looking at GOG and Steam, it's clear that they scroll smoothly too and, on a high framerate display, it can really add to the slickness of the experience.

Can I somehow get the same experience in Launchbox?

Fairly certain to run a scrollbar the way you are wanting we'd have to run a animation against the scroll position. While not IMPOSSIBLE (or least I don't think it is) it WOULD impact performance and responsiveness for a lot of people if we just turned it on for everyone. While I'm in the code I'll see if there an easy  way to theme that functionality in and shoot ya the XAML to do so. If not you'll have to submit a feature request for it.

Thanks for the quick reply @C-Beats.

Happy to use the XAML if that's an option but if not then I'll take a look and work out how to add a feature request.

It's not a deal breaker for me but as someone who is spoiled nowadays by 60+ fps in games and in Windows along with using a 120hz screen on my mobile, it definitely makes a difference to the overall experience.
