Problem with loading save states on M.A.M.E. from pause screen on Launchbox

HI, everyone, I'll try to be as clear as I can:

- When I save and load states in MAME (launched from LB), using F7 and F8 keys respectively, everything works as expected
- When, in-game, I pause the game and select Save from the pause menu, the game saves. If I press F8 to load it using MAME's shortcuts, it loads no problem, but:
- If I go to the Pause menu a while later and select Load, it overwrites the previously saved state with a new one and the game keeps going from there.
- When I hit F8 to see my saved states, hoping to find the first save, I only see that last one, saved from the pause menu.

- What could be happening here? How can I fix this? I'd really like to use the pause menu for saving/loading and not having to map MAME shortcuts into my controller. Help, please.

The default MAME keys are Left Shift F7 to save state and F7 to load state.  Each is then followed by a number to select which slot.  LB uses these as the default key commands and slot 1.  So if you changed mapping in MAME you would need to update your settings in LB accordingly.  Go into edit emulator and look at the Save State and Load State blocks.  Those are what LB uses when doing things through the LB Pause menu.
