Dolphin error

Recommended Posts

I have an issue whenever I try to boot into a game through launchbox to dolphin I get this error saying that I'm using the incorrect file even though I am using an ISO file and it boots up perfectly from dolphin itself. I am on the beta release so I'm not sure if this is a beta issue but I'm not sure what to do.

@RenniG Somehow there's an issue launching WBFS files with Dolphin. We're not positive, but it might be a bug with the emulator. It should work fine to launch ISO files, but this is not the first time that we've seen this with WBFS files. If you can report the bug to the Dolphin team, that would be best.

I actually have been using the mmjr fork. The only reason why I didn't want to try it this time because Super Mario bros Wii runs better on the official release of dolphin. That's why I've been trying to use the official dolphin and not the mmjr fork for Launchbox

It's also weird because I initially thought it was a emulator issue and the people from the official dolphin server kinda brushed it off and said it was a frontend issue and said no one really cares for the android port of things

Hey there! Just wanted to add that there also seems to be an issue with NKIT.ISO files. It brings up the same error on my end when I try to load Twilight Princess on the official play store version of Dolphin from the latest version of Launchbox.

I would use Dolphin MMJR, but this is another case where the game seems to run better in the official Dolphin app for me.

Currently running on Android 10.

Unfortunately I don't have any information on how Dolphin would expect us to launch NKIT ISO files any differently from any other type of file, so there's not really anything I can do there, unless someone has any additional information on it. Most likely it's just a bug with Dolphin, but I don't really know for sure.

Also, for what it's worth, that file format is no longer a recommended file format to use, from what I've heard.
