madelai
I have a folder of backup files from Launchbox in 2017 on a backup drive from when I used to use it. I haven't had it on my computer for a few years. I downloaded the latest version and wanted to import my old library from my old archives. But all that's in the backup folder is xml files. No 7-zip files. The only thing I can import from Tools > Restore Data Backup is 7z files. So what exactly was my Launchbox in 2017 backing up? Example of the files in my backup folder: LaunchBox.xml.backup-636127343856260760 BigBoxSettings_2017-12-09_13-46-45.xml Emulators_2017-12-09_14-36-58.xml N64_2017-04-23_22-20-18.xml NES_2017-12-10_22-58-59.xml Platforms_2017-12-09_13-46-04.xml Windows_2017-12-10_19-28-55.xml
Retro808
The old way LB backed up was those individual xaml files. Eventually the processed was updated and now LB backs up all necessary xaml files into a zipped file. So it still backs up the xaml it just places them into zipped archives now.
