fotiosmark Posted October 3, 2022 Share Posted October 3, 2022 Hey there, As I am going through Launchbox and seting it up it seems there is something off playing on the LCD screen of my PC so I start looking on how if possible, connect the PC to a CRT PC or TV screen. I have checked all over the internet and everyone was talking about CRT EMU drivers (which work with Mame) but I was wondering if I am going about it right. Does a simple HDMI to AV "composite" converter will do the trick If I want to connect PC to CRT TV or do I need to be looking for old graphics card and connect a PC to a CRT PC screen for better results? I don't wanna go crazy about it and build a new PC (with old specs) just for this so I was wonder if anyone has any idea? No, it is not that simple, you need a card that can actually output the correct signals, which will be older cards, usually cards pre HDMI era, or a mixture of HDMI and a older standard, these cards will be old, and therefore of relatively low power, so wont be much use for anything else. I believe the old AMD cards are recommended. fotiosmark Posted October 3, 2022 Author Share Posted October 3, 2022 Home come when I edit things in retroarch, ex - resolution, and run Doom from retroarch it applys the config, but when I run the same game from Launchbox it doesn't seem to apply the settings. (I run retroarch from within the Launchbox installation folder "Emulators" to make changes). Also, within game the "Home" button doesn't work from launchbox but it works from Retroarch if I want to change the game settings. Any ideas?
