Steam Games are not showing up in my Launchbox library

I have given up after hours of trying to figure this out on my own and need some help from the community. I had Street fighter V and Mortal Combat 11 imported to Launchbox from steam a while back and everything was working great.  I was doing some updating on my Launchbox system (added the latest ROMset) and for some dumb reason I removed the steam games from Launchbox (but not Steam).  Now when I try to import them via the steam importer none of the games that are actually installed on the computer (Street Fighter V and Mortal Combat 11) are showing up on the list.  I can play them fine directly through Steam.  The API and login to Steam appear to be working as it shows a list of all the other games that are available but not actually downloaded to my arcade computer. Any help on getting these games to show up again would be greatly appreciated.

You can add games manually after the fact like you would for other platforms. I normally right click and add a Steam game like that rather than drag and drop a file. Go into the platform, right click, then click add game. Then type in the game name and pick the right one if there are multiple to choose from. It will populate all the metadata accordingly based on that game name you just selected. Then go to the launching tab and add in the appropriate steam://rungameid/ launcher URL for that particular game's application path. I haven't tried it like this, but I bet you could make a desktop shortcut for the game from Steam (there is where you can get the steam://rungameid # from) and rather than type stuff in manually, drag and drop that shortcut into LB. Overall point is you can easily add your Steam games back into LB if you ever removed them

I'd verify that you don't have those titles somehow hidden in your collection. One easy way to check is to select "Force import duplicates" (or something similar) in the options page and then see if the titles appear in the list. If they do then the games are still in your library but are hidden because of your settings.

Just to add onto this, I have had issues where I created a new platform, and it ended up as an orphan. As in it wasn't listed under root or under any of my other platforms or categories. Going to Tools > manage platforms, I was able to see it and tag it as belonging under root which forced it to appear in Launchbox.

I mention this because my first knee-jerk was to assume there was an issue with my import. So I initially tried importing the files again only to have them not show up again. Ended up being that issue with the platform not knowing where to show itself.

This worked perfectly, thanks!! Still not sure why the games wouldn’t show up on steam imports. I ensured no filters for hidden games was selected, and even forced duplicates. None of that worked. Thanks again!!
