SteveCac
Hi, I can get RetroArch MAME roms working when using RetroArch but when I set this up through Laucnhbox all I get is a black screen. I'm using MAME 2003 in RetroArch and presume the romset work as they will run, just not when using Launchbox. Any help? Steve.

This would mean that the core you have chosen to use inside of LaunchBox has not been found inside of RetroArch. Check the arcade's emulator settings and make sure the core selected matches one you downloaded within RetroArch. This can be a little confusing since LaunchBox lists the file names while RetroArch lists core names (which can unfortunately be drastically different names sometimes). There may be other reasons you get presented with a black screen, but this is the most common one.
SteveCac
I'm using the same core. I even tried changing the core in RetroArch and Launchbox, still get a black screen. And should have mentioned I'm using MAME 2003 Plus, there is only 1 choice for this in Launchbox but can try different options.

Fullgonzo
I think what messes me and others up is that LB for andoid, in the emulation settings, will list all the applicable cores, where as, depending on wich RA for android version you are using, does not have the same cores available. i have the device detected latest version from RA website and can't download past mame2010 core other than latest which i have issues with most often, and doesn't matter if roms are new or older in most cases.
