dalester Posted April 26, 2023 Share Posted April 26, 2023 Hi! I'm trying to use the new sync feature on Windows and it doesn't appear to be working. I logged out and then back in to the cloud/launchbox games database. I clicked "sync my collection" and it ran for about a minute and I can see my games on the website. I have enable statistics sync checked. But when I click on the new sync icon I get an error: "Could not connect to the Launchbox games database. Syn status: not connected." AstroBob Posted November 22 Share Posted November 22 Hi @Rams128, may I confirm what version of LaunchBox you are running, since there were some optimisations made to the sync feature in 13.17. If you're on an older version, can you try updating to the latest version and letting us know if you still see issues with syncing? I'm currently on version 13.17, with auto-update enabled. I've tried almost everything to resolve the issue, including: - Logging in and out of my Launchbox/EmuMovies accounts. - Rolling back to a backup date prior to when the issue began. - Adding the Metadata folder to my antivirus exclusions. - Disabling both antivirus and firewall completely. - Toggling RetroAchievements and High Scores on and off. - With Update to Beta Releases On and Off - Force Unlock Metadata.xml - manually synced to my collection, worked perfectly, showing up on the website. However, due to the Auto syncing failure, any changes now take significantly longer, especially when saving games during import. Even combining two single games takes around 30 seconds or more.
