d8thstar
i think im getting too old... i have a third screen that i would like to show my arcade control panel layout with buttons labeled. i found CPWizrd but for the life of me, can't figure that app out, basicallym i want to layout my panel in the ap, assign the keys to the buttons, and much like LEDblinkym have those button labels updated based on game selected, showing the button label (i.e. punch, kick, fire, etc.) anyone have any suggestions? project9
Probably 4 months too late, but the latest version of CPWizard from github works for me on MAME 0.260. Version 69 {huehue} loads games for me, while 2.67 or 2.63 that he last mentioned on his site (baker76.com/cpwizard-home/) don't. The github was updated 3 months or so ago. https://github.com/benbaker76/CPWizard/blob/master/bin/Release/Setup/CPWizardSetup.exe The design part of the app sucks - no undo, I don't see a place to change the background short of manually editing the XML, it always resets to Default layout after I exit previewing, etc. I also don't think it hooks into MAME anymore, that I could figure out anyways. However, the Export works fine and the images work great with ThirdScreen. I grabbed a small 7" screen as a test and don't need 2 sets of controls showing - or the joystick... I think I know how UDLR works in games. So, I laid out just the buttons on mine. Works a treat to show the controls (or at least which buttons are active) while games are running, while also picking up any of my custom keymapping I've set in games (which was the main thing I needed this to help with).
