St_Eddie
My old PC died recently and so I purchased a new PC. Naturally, I copied over my LaunchBox collection (via an external hard drive), however; oddly, when I play MSU enchaned games for the SNES (using the SNES9x core, via Retroarch), there is a horrible audio crackle. I tried using alternative cores, but they only made the issue worse. Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thank you. EDIT: There seems to be a similiar issue with the Playstation core of Retroarch, so I presume that it's a Retroarch related issue. DeadVoivod
Which audio driver do you use in RetroArch? I use xaudio. Try changing the driver to something else to see if it stops the crackling.
St_Eddie
I've tried switching the audio driver, but with no success. The audio crackling remains.
St_Eddie
UPDATE: I found the problem; I had to go into the Retroarch resolution settings and select the 60 Hz option. Not sure why the video settings were the issue, but it fixed the problem. Hopefully this will be of help to anybody else experiencing this issue. Drodrik
I had the same, what worked for me was disabling "runahead to reduce latency" on latency options, after switching off I get no more crackling sound or vide sttuter on msu-1 games on snesx9 core Edited August 24 by Drodrik
