Confirm exit screen

Wow that’s surprising. Seems like if you keep hitting escape to exit a game Bigbox should ask if you want to exit before it closes? I guess I could make another button to escape Bigbox but then I’d have a button to exit the emulator and another one to exit bigbox. I can see kids button smashing and closing it out. The confirm exit would eliminate that.

Possible. Honestly never really ran into that issue myself in well over 7 years. I  don’t have exit mapped to any key/button in my builds as I typically use the menu option to close BB. This way with all the kids (my children and their friends) always mashing buttons BB has never closed.

I think this is the first I have seen anyone ask for that as a feature.

Feel free to request a feature upgrade. Top of the forum under Help & Support is a Feature Request link.

Are you using a cab? I'm using a cab and disabled the game details screen so it launches the game right away. I'm just trying to make it feel like an arcade cab and eliminate some of the clicks even though there are nice features!

Yes. I have several throughout my home and office. The cabs typically run 24/7. If I need to shut them down I back out to the options menu and scroll to the bottom and select exit. This way with no button mapped to “Exit” my machines never run the risk of the kids button mashing and closing BB.

I just found a setting that requires you to hold the back button to have the details screen show. This is great as it will stop kids from accidently messing with that screen as now its kind of hidden. As a long time Hyperspin user the more I'm playing around with launchbox/Bigbox I'm really liking it. Before it was laggy on the wheel but is much better now and defiantly easier to set up.  Launchbox team has really made a great front end and I'm just getting into it so who knows what else there is that I haven't come across yet!!
