Cover distances between top and bottom

How can I reduce this distance?

If the theme uses the settings it can be changed via Tools > Options > Visuals > Boxes > Spacing.

That being said the gap between your grid items is actually depicted in the left most pair and NOT where you're red arrows are. The gap is the difference between that highlight you see around the top and bottom item and NOT the gap between images.
