Remove path, but not extension

Hey all -

I'm trying to set up Teknoparrot, which uses user profile xml files for launching the games.  Is there a way to remove the path information, but not the .xml file extension in the Emulator config?  The game should be launched as something like --profile=Batman.xml

Others have set this up using custom command line parameters, but then this needs to be done individually for every game, which is a bit laborious and cumbersome.
