Launchbox freezing on Bezels and does not seem to close properly?

Recommended Posts

Hey LB peeps,

First time poster, so forgive me if I'm leaving anything out, or don't know some things. Basically, I started with a fresh install of Launchbox 13.15 on my main computer (windows 11) and every time it gets to installing/downloading bezels, Launchbox will freeze. It will also sometimes freeze up my computer, and I'll have to reboot (when trying to download said bezels). I have 32gb ddr5, 4tb nvme, and 7950x, so I don't believe that this is a system thing. I've tried doing another fresh install (ye ol' "launchbox old") with just MAME and it still happens. I tried scouring the webs, but cant seem to find anyone with a similar issue. I did notice that I can't open bigbox cause it'll freeze my computer as well. When I try closing LB, it does stick around in task manager. I've read that LB is typically saving before fully closing, so I thought to let it run. But, after maybe 10min or so it'll lead to a gradual freeze where my mouse will move, but nothing else works, so I'd have to reboot. My memory usage only sits around 40% when this is happening, so I'm a bit lost and hope someone could help me figure this out.

Currently I've been sitting waiting for it to close for about 8 or so min. Hoping today it'll close properly. But I'm not holding my breath lol.

Thank you!
