Launchbox working perfectly, Bigbox doesn’t work.

Hi all, thank you in advance! I’m sure it’s something simple (hopefully) but I purchased lifetime for bigbox, installed configured and downloaded everything. Inside LB everything works. I have mame and retroarch. When I select a Mame emulator game, I get a loading game screen, then after 2-10 seconds I get taken back to the info page on that game. Yes it’s a mame game, 0.264 is the version. I’m not that new to mame and a frontend, just new to LB & BB. I looked at the paths for the emulators and they are correct. I did remember seeing an arcade folder somewhere during my investigation. So if anyone has an idea why everything would work perfectly in LB, but not load mame backed games in BB I would really appreciate it. Since once this is fixed, I can close up the cabinet and make the wife happy. Thank you again!

Are you using the startup screen (the one that says "Loading...") in both LB AND BB? I didn’t know that was an option for mame game loading inside LB & BB. I thought that was a boot up option you could select instead of using windows. I haven’t selected anything like that.

Mame = Name and I hate that autocorrect.

I think I would like to just start over. Only question I have that may or may not help in the future with my issue is, where does LB & BB like mame to be installed? I’ve seen some people use mame inside of retroarch, but I didn’t do that. Like the directory/location on the PC for the make install? I’m just going to uninstall everything, and start fresh. And hopefully install mame where LB & BB like mame to live.

LaunchBox doesn't care where your app resides. Put it where you want, just make sure to point to where it is.
