How to disable new version popups?

I need to either opt out of the beta or figure out how to get the update pop-ups to go away. 

They're ruining my public arcade cabinet by asking random people to install it. Then if they hit yes, they are taken to the desktop and are asked for an admin password to install it.

AND THEN.... if enough time passes by, it tries to install it itself and eventually crashes due to no user input. It breaks on something it need admin for.

As @Layer0730 indicated, since your cab is accessible to the public you really should turn off all updates.

Then you, as admin periodically/occasionally/however-often, un-lock BigBox and then in the System Menu select Switch to Desktop Mode.  Then once in LaunchBox, go to Menu, Help, Check for Updates.

Thanks guys. I swear I looked for this earlier in the year and couldn't find it. Even after googling /facepalm.
