Drakkorcia Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 (edited) Anyone here have an ultrawide monitor? I am having trouble finding bezels and lay files for MAME that will support a ultrawide monitor; in my case a 3440x1440 native resolution. I can uncheck aspect ratio of course and these low resolution games will stretch to all of their pixelated glory and burn my eyes, but I would rather keep the original aspect ratio and have a nice bezel take up the black space. The problem is I can't for the life of me find an ultrawide bezel and lay file for MAME. I tried Bezel Project and Google but these just give me 16:9 widescreen bezels so it just shows the game, a little bit of bezel, and a lot of black space. Can anyone help? All I need is a standard bezel and lay file that will properly fit a 3440x1440 resolution if any of you have one or can make one. I would surely appreciate it. dragon57 Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 While I know my following comment is not helpful, I will take your request and put it on my to-do list. Since 21:9 monitors still account for a very small percentage of overall monitor sizes in current Steam statistics, I believe having at least a generic MAME bezel for horizontal and vertical games would be better than nothing. Please don't take my comment as an official direction by The Bezel Project. It is not. I will see what I can do about generating a default MAME horiz/vert 21:9 bezel and posting here, hopefully before the end of the year. No promises, however, as this is a busy time. Quote
noMADx469 Posted Friday at 05:42 AM Posted Friday at 05:42 AM (edited) In the meantime, if you are ok with just using system themed TV shader, try Duimon-Mega-Bezel pack. Edited Friday at 05:43 AM by noMADx469 Quote
dragon57 Posted Friday at 09:59 PM Posted Friday at 09:59 PM Very sorry for the delay in posting these default MAME bezels for a 21:9 monitor (real life hit me). These are setup to use the default horizontal and vertical settings. Put the ini files into your MAME ini subdirectory and the zip files in your MAME artwork subdirectory. I hope these help some of you. Examples below. genhorizontal.zip genvertical.zip horizont.ini vertical.ini Quote
Bullvine Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Thanks @dragon57 I love these 21:9 bezels. Wil certainly be using these. 1 Quote
