xokia Posted February 7 Posted February 7 (edited) I have SNES and NES Super famicom. One is imports one is not. I do not want the libraries merged. However Launchbox is merging them its really frustrating. I want 2 distinct separate platforms one for SNES and one for Nintendo Super Famicom. How do I do this? I think its doing it this way because you have to scrape it as SNES. But then is merges things together. How to stop this? So basically I want a virtual platform. Edited February 7 by xokia Quote
AstroBob Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Hi there, Thanks for the great question. LaunchBox does not support regional variations of a single platform, so both SNES and Super Famicom games will always be scraped as the SNES. That said, what you can do is create 2 auto-populated playlists that are embedded under the SNES platform, one that filters for Japanese games (indicating the Super Famicom) and the other filtering US region games (indicating the SNES). Just right-click on the SNES platform and select Add > New Playlist From there, you can go to the Auto-Populate tab, and you'll want to filter on the games region. I realise it might not be exactly what you're looking for, but hopefully, it's a suitable workaround. Let me know how you get on Quote
xokia Posted Friday at 06:24 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:24 PM (edited) I somehow got it to do what I wanted. I think I looked into the playlist thing but couldnt figure out hot to make that work correctly. Maybe I will revisit in the future. Seems weird you folks do not support this. When you "kinda" do. You have a selection for NES famicom. But then nothing for SNES famicom. Edited Friday at 06:26 PM by xokia Quote
