Hi, I’ve searched the forum before asking, and it looks like all I need to do to close teknoparrot games launched from bigbox is configuring the controller mapping for close active window. Unfortunately it only work for Aliens extermination, all the other games don’t close. The same button closes Retroarch games correctly, and I can close all teknoparrot games pressing the ESC key on the keyboard, but I would like to use the controller. Am I missing something?

I have exactly the same issue.

I'd appreciate if someone could share their exit and running script for TeknoParrot emulator.

I think TeknoparrotUI.exe runs an additional exe for some games further complicates it.

I have found within the edit emulator starup - hide all windows not full screen helps but you cant see all the TeknoParrot loading details which sometimes is  useful too see things are working ok.

These 2 pretty much counter each other out.  Since TP ('for some games') launches another exe (the 'actual game') and then closes itself (the emulator LB initiated), all associated scripts for that emulator are also closed (abandoned / become un-available).

I don't have workaround for this as I got rid of TP several years ago.  But shared the above so you don't waste time looking for a script that works for those 'some games'.

I'm not a huge fan of technoparrot. I am able to close all games after mapping the close window button. That does seem to work for me. But sometimes launchbox will crash on exit. So you need to go back to the PC and close the debug window then things work again. So its kind of a PITA.

Not a big fan of anything launching .exe files in general. The exe is suspect from a security standpoint. TechnoParrot forum is pretty much closed to new comers. So you can't even evaluate a rom or get a hash of a good file. Just seems a bit more sketchy to me for games that are not all that great and available on other platforms. I've debating dumping it myself.

I do not have anything special in my config I have a fairly recent version of technoparrot. I have the following in the running script section.

$Esc::
{
WinClose, ahk_exe {{{StartupEXE}}}
}

Seems like teknoparrot is thinking about the security part with "verify game" but none of the games have a clean hash list yet.
So maybe one day...............

Thanks i did try that script from other forum posts on the same topic and it caused more issues for me.

I've had some success by ticking the aggressive window box in the start up emultor edit. It makes Big Box work a bit smoother with TeknoParrot.

Which version of teknoParrot are you running?
