xokia Posted Wednesday at 11:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:33 PM ok today launchbox just went stupid slow. Like its been 20 min and its still spinning trying to start. It's loaded up 2GB in ram but still just spinning. Like its waiting for something it doesn't have access to and there is no timeout. Is there a way to turn on the launchbox debugger from a file? Because I cant even access the GUI. Quote
xokia Posted yesterday at 03:52 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:52 AM I got the logger enabled I see a bunch of the following repeated a ton of times Maybe this is because I had to switch back to 13.8 to get things working and for some reason its still looking for files related to 13.9? 2025-02-19 07:41:23 PM Game.PlayTime changed from 0 to 5: Gremlins (Atari 5200) 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly Unbroken.LaunchBox.Plugins, Version=13.19.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null... 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=. 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken= 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM Resolving assembly System.Runtime, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b 2025-02-19 07:41:29 PM FIRST CHANCE EXCEPTION: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. AstroBob Posted yesterday at 07:32 AM Posted yesterday at 07:32 AM Hi there, Thanks for the report here. It's hard to tell without the full error log, but for any issues with 13.19, please first check out this post to ensure there aren't any issues with incompatible plugins: If it's not that, there are references to mapped drives there. May I confirm, do you have any data (games, media etc), that is stored on a drive different to your LaunchBox install, and that wasn't connected at the time of this report? There are some known issues where LaunchBox will complain in certain places if a mapped drive is not connected, however this shouldn't have any impact during startup. I'd also be keen to understand if this was a one-off issue, or if it continues to be slow to startup. Finally, just to confirm I assume you're referring to 13.19 and 13.18, but can you confirm exactly which version you are using? Cheers, Quote

The "roms" and "emulators" reside on a 20TB HDD. Launchbox itself is also installed on a separate NVME drive on the NAS. With a 2.5GB connection between the server and host. So the client really is just links to the program residing on the NAS. Both attached storage devices are up and running before launching Launchbox. I can browse to the directories with explorer just fine. If I run 13.9 network links are broken Here is what it looks like when I try and import a rom with 13.19. Same exact import with 13.18 So I tried to install 13.9 but had to roll back to 13.8 so likely when it rolled back it didnt clean up 13.9 remnants. My plugins Edited 23 hours ago by xokia Quote
