vince16 Posted Sunday at 02:48 AM Posted Sunday at 02:48 AM Hi all, I now get this bug whenever I click on a game, any game, and Launchbox shuts itself down, and windows tries to find a solution to the problem and of course doesn't find anything. Is there anything I can do? (Please don't tell me to delete Launchbox and reinstall it entirely...) Any help would be appreciated. Quote

Tools < Download < Force Update Games Database Metadata... BTW, I have never heard a solution to any issue being "delete LaunchBox and reinstall it entirely". 1 Quote
vince16 Posted Sunday at 03:16 AM Author Posted Sunday at 03:16 AM Well I'm not sure what exactly happened but your idea seems to work. I no longer get that message after trying to click on a few games, so thank you. I'll test further to see if it doesn't come back. The problem appeared a couple hours ago when I imported this dreamcast game, which gave me this message. Does it mean I have to give up the idea of importing this gdi completely? Quote

Does it mean I have to give up the idea of importing this gdi completely? At the time of your writing, "a couple hours ago" was prior to you updating your local database. Did the message appear again after you updated it? LaunchBox is file agnostic. Meaning it doesn't care what file types you import. The message looks like it's saying there was an issue finding metadata (which you can always grab after importing), then continues to ask, 'do you want to import it anyway'. So no 'giving up' is necessary. Just a little patience and understanding. 1 Quote
