flatuswalrus Posted Monday at 03:51 AM Posted Monday at 03:51 AM (edited) Hi everyone, I am trying to import the entire exoDOS collection which is between 7k to 8k games. I have unzipped the games, so each game is in it's own folder. I am using the importing MS-DOS option as opposed to ROMs. I have attempted to do this a couple of times and each time LB freezes. I realize it is an enormous collection to import but I have left LB for hours in the hopes it would eventually sort itself out but it does not unfreeze after quite some time. I have also tried not ticking any media to download, and do this after; however, I know this likely has no effect as the importer does not make it past the stage of creating a list of games to view. Does anyone have any advice for importing such a large DOS catalogue? Thanks in advance. Edited Monday at 09:03 PM by flatuswalrus Quote
C-Beats Posted Monday at 12:52 PM Posted Monday at 12:52 PM Can just copy the data files from the exoDOS build into your build's data folder. No need to manually import anything. Quote

I previously had a large MS-DOS collection on my computer and in LB; however, I downloaded exoDOS becaus it had more games in the collection, not understanding exactly how it worked. Because I unzipped all of the games into their own folders, have I screwed things up by doing that? Quote

You can merge builds by moving over the data/media/game files. I'm fairly certain eXo has a migration guide on his website/discord you can utilize. It DOES get a bit harder if you're trying to zipper in his data into an existing platform though since it's not as easy as just copying the data files over. Quote
