C-Beats Posted Tuesday at 12:10 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:10 PM Not that I think EA has really being doing a very good job. Even the business side decisions are usually comically shallow. Be interesting to see what owners who don't have to pander to clueless stock holders will do with the brand. The sheer number of iconic IP's still under the EA umbrella is already pretty large so be interesting to see what comes of it all. It's also interesting to see how much of "western" game development is currently owned by companies in non-western world countries. Take-Two owns a HUGE amount of the landscape, and now the Saudi's will hold EA. Ubisoft used to be a French studio (though not real sure how much of it is still handled there). Definitely shows how global the industry is and is interesting to see how it'll change the landscape. I don't really ever play AAA games so I won't be immediately affected but it'll be an interesting journey to watch from the sidelines. Quote
