legolas119 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) HI i have updated to latest LB version but i just noticed that i can't see the video anymmore. The picture of the video preview is still available: But when i click into the video and i play it, i can only hear the sound/music, but the video is a black screen: Do you know how i can fix this problem? I read that something was changed into the latest LB releases, but i don't know the reason of the issue. The issue is present only in some games, not all the games. All my videos are in .mp4 format. Double check which version of LaunchBox you have and which player you're using (Tools < Options < General < Video Playback). If the one selected isn't working, try the other. Quote
legolas119 Posted Saturday at 09:07 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:07 PM thanks, i'm using LB latest version 13.24 and checking the video player, by default is set "Use Windows Media Player" even if my default video player is VLC. I tried to modify the default video player to Windows Media Player, i reboot LB, but i still have the same issue: i'm not able anymore to see the video previw...i can only see the first image of the video, but when i push to play it, only sound is available... I updated K-Lite MEga codec pack to latest 19.3.3 version, but the issue is still present... I tried to delete some video files and capture them again from youtube (i do this whn videos aren't available on emumovies) and now the video perfectly works... but i really don't know why the "old" version doesn't work anymore...it could be a bug present into the new LB version, because all the video perfectly works until some LB version ago... I have the same issue in BB too... Does anyone has the same problem? thanks! Quote
JoeViking245 Posted Saturday at 09:36 PM Posted Saturday at 09:36 PM Regardless of what your systems default player is, LaunchBox and Big Box can, and will only use WMP or ffmpeg (which is integrated in with LB/BB). Note, the settings are separate for each UI. That is, if you change it in say, LaunchBox, it won't be changed in Big Box. LaunchBox: Tools < Options < General < Video Playback Big Box: System Menu < Options < Videos < Video Playback Engine Did you "try the other" as suggested? ffmpeg, in your case. Quote
