Updating LB question

I'm sure this has to have been asked and answered already, but I can't find it. I've updated to the most recent version of Launchbox. Does that mean that I :MUST: update Mame and my roms file? Or am I OK and better off just leaving those as they are? Sorry if this is a repeat question lol

Nope, they are completely unrelated in that regard, As long as your MAME version matches you ROMset version you are good to go. Doesn't matter what version of Launchbox you are running.

Awesome, thanks. And after updating, when it prompts me to update from the plugins manager, that IS actually mame, right? Like, it isn't just a plugin that handles how mame runs, it would actually update mame and I should ignore that one if I want to keep my current configurations, right? Attached is a shot of the screen I'm talking about. Is that a functionality thing that should get updated, or is that actually updating mame it's self?

The MAME integration plugin is used for installing MAME in LaunchBox.  Updating the plugin itself doesn't update/install MAME.  Go ahead and click the Update button, then you won't be prompted about it anymore.

If/when you later decide to install a new version of MAME, it will then use that plugin to assist you with that.  Well, the updated one. It won't work with the current version 1.2 of the plugin you have.  Hope that helps.
