Jasno Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Hi LaunchBoxers, I'm running LaunchBox 13.26 on Windows 11 with an ACEMAGIC AM18 mini PC (AMD Ryzen 7, Radeon 780M integrated graphics). I cannot get any games to launch through RetroArch. Here is what I know: RetroArch works perfectly when launched directly or via command line The correct command that works from command line is: retroarch.exe -L "cores\snes9x_libretro.dll" "FULL\PATH\TO\ROM\FILE" ROMs are confirmed present at C:\Games\ROMs\Super Nintendo\ in .smc format LaunchBox is installed at C:\Users\Jason\LaunchBox\ RetroArch is installed at C:\Users\Jason\LaunchBox\Emulators\RetroArch\ When launching from LaunchBox, nothing happens at all — no black screen, no error The "Launch With" option is grayed out Bulk editing games to assign RetroArch as emulator appears to work but games still won't launch Games are imported under the platform name "Super Nintendo" but Associated Platforms only has "Super Nintendo Entertainment System" Please advise on the correct configuration for this setup. Thanks, Jason Quote
dragon57 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Have you set the value of the command in LaunchBox to mirror what works from the command line? See example pic below: Quote
Jasno Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago That didn't work. I will pay you to do a screenshare and set this up for me. I am going insane. I have been using Claude and Chatgpt to try and figure this out for hours. I can't get anything to load except Steam games. I paid for premium Big Box. Thanks! Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) This is what should work Emulator Settings Only thing u need to pay attention to is pointing it to your retroarch exe Associated platform settings For u...associated platform should have the value 'Super Nintendo'...the rest u can use the same as mine And when u EDIT one of your games...u should see this: Launching has a link to the .sfc game...in my case Sylvester And in emulation tab u should see that it has an emulator...in this case RETROARCH attached Can u check if at least these things do match with your setup? Cause I also have my SNES games in .sfc format...and use Retroarch...and use the snes9x_libretro core. So if mine works...then yours should too and just means either u messed up the emulator config, or u messed up with linking the Retroarch setting to your platform To be on the SAFE side...just create a NEW EMULATOR...call it RETROARCHTEST or something...and apply my above settings. When u get to associated platform...and u choose your 'Super Nintendo' and the core, and set the fullscreen setting...if u then CHECK the checkmark to make this your default emulator for SNES...then Retroarch will tell u or ask u if u want to apply it for all games in your Super Nintendo platform. Click YES...and then u start from fresh and it should be properly attached. Edited 4 hours ago by launchretrogirl2562 Quote
