Help With Start Up Video

Hi Everyone!  I'm new to all of this, so please bare with me.  I downloaded a startup video and followed the tutorial on youtube.  However, there was no suggested videos folder in the location that the video showed.  I made my own videos folder and placed the video there, but that didn't work.  I then found a videos folder amongst the the Launcbox files and tried there, but that didn't work, either.  Can anyone lend a hand?

The video that shows when you first start Big Box goes into  \LaunchBox\Videos\startup\yourVideoFile.mp4

If the Videos folder doesn't already exist, you have some other issue going on.  If the startup folder doesn't already exist, create as shown above.

I see the videos folder and made a startup folder in that location.  I then placed the videos in the startup folder, but am still having the same issue.  It opens up directly to the colors theme.

Not sure what version of LaunchBox you're on, but v13.28-beta has an update fixing an issue regarding the Big Box startup videos.

If you so desire, you can opt into the beta releases.   In LaunchBox, go to:   Tools < Options < General < Updates

Just wanted to confirm that updating to the latest beta resolved a startup video issue for me as well!

On the stable build, the intro video canvas was getting visually locked on top of the screen when running DisplayFusion (even though input went through to BigBox in the background). Updating to the beta fixed the window-layering handoff completely.

Thanks to the dev team for moving video playback native inside BigBox!
