This has been a problem since FFmpeg was introduced into LaunchBox for me. It was widely reported at first and I assume a fix was made for subsequent releases, but for me the problem still persists. I can be browsing my LB collection and then one of the videos takes a while to load, then the program hangs then closes. Putting it back to Windows Media Player stops the crashing but even that has problems. Sometimes videos won't show at all in the preview or in full screen, and when I close LaunchBox to refresh it, the program doesn't boot up and says another instance is running. I miss VLC tbh, none of this was a problem then. Any ideas as to what could be causing it? Is this something you've actually fixed for most but something is causing mine to fuck up? Thanks for the help in advance.

VLC has been overhauled in the 13.28-betas and ffmpeg has been removed.  (if that helps any. ;))

Improvement: Video playback now uses the LaunchBox Media Engine for VLC or Windows Media Player, with the legacy FFME playback engine and its bundled components removed

You can opt into the beta releases under Tools < Options < General < Updates (if you so desire to test and provide feedback).  Or wait for the Official release.  I don't know the ETA for the 13.28 Official release.
