MAME and emulating other systems with it in launchbox.

Just a quick question regarding MAME, Launchbox and using MAME to emulate other systems in launchbox.
Is it possible to use the same MAME entry in emulators to do both arcade & general system emulation?

What i mean is .. the Arcade portion needs "Remove Quotes" & "Remove file extension and folder path" checked but using MAME to emulate an Apple II requires both to not be checked.
Is there a %CMD% im unaware of that gets around this issue?
Like..
apple2e -gameio joy -flop1 %fullpathtoromfile, with extension% or something like it?

You can find available parameters here:  LaunchBox Built-in Command Line Variables - LaunchBox

The one you want to use is -rompath %romlocation%

-rompath %romlocation% apple2e -gameio joy -flop1

Placement of the variable is key.  (and you can leave the 2 checkboxes checked)

e.g.

If you want to do it similar to what you proposed, I suppose you could use:

apple2e -gameio joy -flop1 "%romlocation_noquotes%\%romfilename%%romextension%" %noromfile%

Your a legend as always JoeViking, the second string you posted worked like a charm :)
As always, whatever your paid, it's not enough :P

Glad it worked.

"Paid"? What's that?   Well, I suppose I get 'paid' in flattering comments like that and people saying thanks. But that's all. B|

Now go play some games and enjoy. :D
