Searching Emumovies for media going really slow

When using the update metadata and media tool on my arcade list it takes forever to get through the Emuline data. It has been "downloading" for the past week, and has only downloaded 6 files. Most of the time it just sits ther saying searching Emumovies for media. If i update a single game or just a few games it seems ok, but this is painful as well since it has to download the metada, and clear the image cache each time i start the download, and this process takes a while itself. 

Is there any way to fix this other than scan a few games at a time?

Been having the same issue. I think it's bugged because it used to work fine. It seems to be repeatedly going back to "Searching" every 1-3 files, which takes a while before it does the next 1-3 files.

This is a known issue and seems to be related to games that have a + symbol in their title.
