Is there a hidden config or flag to force Big Box into Windowed Mode?

Hi everyone, I am running the latest version 14.0.1 on a high-end Windows desktop setup. I want to permanently force Big Box to run inside a standard, floating desktop Window instead of full-screen exclusive mode.

I have already tried editing BigBoxSettings.xml (including <HideTaskbar>false</HideTaskbar>), but the engine's core initialization still insists on taking over the full display. Is this baked directly into the core engine architecture, or is there a hidden command-line switch, AHK script, or XML parameter I can deploy from the outside to break it out into a window? Big Box is intentionally designed to show/run in exclusive fullscreen and has no available option to be windowed.

I've heard that you can run Big Box on a Virtual Machine to have it be windowed. I've never tried that myself. But was told it worked.
