  1. For PS1 in my experience with bin and cue files by keeping multi disc game files in the same folder. Then entering cue file names including .cue at the end into a m3u file. Will make RA read next disc automatically. Thats why I was hoping Gamecube and Dreamcast might have similar behaviour.

Amazing work Will there be anything for Nintendo DS with that split screen? Also I have a quick side question. If you were to like I am putting my entire LB folder on a external drive and moving around to my buddies and plugging into new computers. Do all the fonts need to be installed for every new computer? In that case I have to create a "LaunchBox dependencies" folder on the external drive for some pre-installs before running BigBox on a new computer. Also as a follow up to that, are there any other things that needs to be installed on new computers that I plug my external drive into?
  3. So basicly I should just keep Dreamcast and Gamecube as it is right now? If I have to swap discs then I guess I can use the keyboard. At least PS1 should work great with the m3u files
  4. Aye! Have already imported PS1 games also and they are running smooth from both m3u and cue files as source of import. I noticed when I imported PS1 the first time and the LB combine the games that I had that right click option of course mentioned in the first reply. One of my multi disc games prompted me very fast for another disc even before starting to play the game, after some intro video. So I made the m3u files and re-imported the multi disc games. Fired the game back up in LB and "tadda!"... no prompt of any disc change at all, game kept going to the next step without my sorry ass lifting a finger So if that is also possible for Dreamcast and Gamecube that would be appreciated as I mentioned will be using a Xbox one controller and not a keyboard. I just ran with the built in Redream core by the way for Dreamcast.
  5. Thanks for answering Well, I did import all my Dreamcast and Gamecube already and I do see they are combined into one game and like you're saying I can right click and the discs are there. The neat thing about the PS1 method with m3u files is that it seems the games then are automaticly changing the discs without prompting about a disc change. The second issue I have with the right clicking inside Launchbox is that I plan to use BigBox on an external drive plugging into any stereo bench HTPC popping BigBox up on the TV. With that system I plan on hooking up my Xbox one controllers to navigate and play games. Would be nice to have a solution without having to need the keyboard when playing or even without the disc change prompt.
  6. DOeS anyone know if I import DOS games into Launchbox using through Retroarch the DOSBox core if games support using an Xbox one wireless controller? I mean that would be sweet to manage without using the keyboard even if it's more nostalgic. If I can use my Xbox one controller, is there any trick to it?
  7. Hi all! Once again I would say I'm fairly new to the forum so feel free to move my post if it's in the wrong place. I did some solid Googling on this particular topic and as for my PS1 collection of ROMS I found a perfect solution. My question is if I can do the same with Dreamcast and Gamecube. What I did with multi disc games on the PS1 I was going to import using Retroarch. When I had games "Name.xxx.disc1..." and "Name.xxx.disc2...", I put all the bin and cue files in the same folder, fixed up the folder name a bit and then inside the folder I created a m3u file that contains the name of the cue files. That way importing the multi disc games into Launchbox I'm importing the m3u files and not the cue files. For all other games with a single disc I simply import the cue files. So to my pickle right now... Can I do the same thing with my Dreamcast and Gamecube multi disc games? For Dreamcast all my ROMS has a single gdi file, normally two bin files and one or more raw files put into game title folders. For my Gamecube games they are all iso files put in one big Gamecube game folder. If my method would work I guess I have to make some game title folder to put the files in for the concerning games. If I happen to be way off please feel free to guide me to a working method.
  8. Thank you for helping to clearify a few things ? I think I left the RetroArch settings default and didn't change anything. Talking about directories. The font question is interesting to me as I would love for everything to work when moving the disk to new computers of course. I'm not 100% hung up on only using RetroArch but it would have been a nice thing to only have one due to setup. But if there is far better options then of course I will greatly consider them.
  9. Hi guys! My first post after getting addicted to LaunchBox. Sorry that my question is split into a few parts and maybe it's not the correct sub forum. I'm setting up a massive LaunchBox folder locally on my computer right now which I'm looking to move to an external harddisk once everything is imported and up and running fine. I made a subfolder in LaunchBox I named "Emulators" and unziped RetroArch into. The "System" folder has seen a few updates with necessary changes to BIOS'es and since I'm a Premium member I would finally also set up BigBox of course. I also have subscription to EmuMovies downloading the artwork/videos. I'm done with sorting and importing a bunch of consoles already but have a few left still. Anyway, to keep some structure I will list my specific questions for you: Right now inside RetroArch settings it's looking for my "System" folder at let's say "F:\LaunchBox\... and so on. What happens when I copy the entire LaunchBox folder with RetroArch inside to an external harddisk? Do I need to make changes inside RetroArch settings to change the drive letter which I guess will be different from computer to computer. When installing intro videos, themes, fonts and such for BigBox, do they stay installed inside the LaunchBox folder somewhere or does the fonts for example get installed somewhere local in Windows directory? In case of local Windows that would leave my external disk move a bit tricky as the fonts in that case would be left behind. I'm looking to get Sega Dreamcast and PlayStation 1 up and running, preferably with RetroArch so I only have one "emulator" installed. Inside RetroArch there is not much options on these two, for Dreamcast it's only Reicast core and there is no videos of setup with that as far as I can tell. If someone can point me in the right direction here it would be appreciated greatly! Or even if opinions are strong about NOT going with Reicast and looking towards a standalone core like Redream then please feel free to tell me. In "System" folder should I update with BIOS files from the start for all consoles or only when it's more a specific requirement from a system? Reading my goal for my LaunchBox setup if you can think of any other fall traps or things I have to think about copying to external harddisk or any other pointers, don't be affraid telling me. Again it is mucg appreciated ☺️ Thanks! Hoping for some good input and patience with me ☺️
