I am having a similar issue, in launch box all my default playlists are there but when I go to bigbox they do not show up. The only one that actually shows up is a playlist I have created myself. I am not sure what I am missing.

Thanks I kind of thought the same that merged had all the files after reading on the mame site, I will do a search for that. I did find a 208 set. It was called 208romsonlymerged, would the roms only mean it needs files?

Sounds good I will try and back up the Mame version and see if that helps.

I am in the process if building a mame arcade machine for the first time. I am having exactly the same issue as the previous posters. I am using 0.202 merged romset (I have had no luck in finding a split set near my mame version .208). I am assuming its a bad romset I have by the sound of this thread. I there an easy way to find out if your romset is incomplete?
